    Purchasing a Parrot

Hand-reared parrots are raised from a young age with regular human interaction and feeding. This process creates birds that are naturally comfortable with people, making them more sociable, easier to train, and better suited as companion pets.

You can reserve a parrot by contacting us through our enquiry form or by phone. We require a deposit to secure your reservation. We'll keep you updated with photos and videos as your bird develops.

Every parrot purchase includes a health certificate from our avian vet, a DNA sexing certificate, a starter pack of their current food, a care guide, and lifetime support from our team. We also provide a hatch certificate and leg ring-3 details.

Yes, we understand that purchasing a parrot is a significant investment. We offer flexible payment plans that allow you to pay in installments while your bird is being weaned and prepared for its new home.

Absolutely! We encourage prospective owners to visit our aviary by appointment. This allows you to meet our birds, see our facilities, and ask any questions you may have. To help manage visit requests and ensure a serious buying experience, we have introduced a visitation policy. Visitors are required to specify the parrot they wish to see prior to scheduling an appointment, allowing us to properly prepare the bird before arrival. In addition, a refundable holding fee of $200 must be paid at least two days before the scheduled visit. This approach has proven effective in reducing non-serious visits and helps us dedicate proper time and attention to genuinely interested clients.

    Shipping and Delivery

Your parrot's health is our top priority, and we stand behind every bird we sell. All our parrots receive a thorough health examination and come with a veterinary health certificate before shipping. In the rare event that your parrot arrives unwell, please contact us immediately within 24 hours of arrival. We offer a comprehensive health guarantee — depending on the situation, we will work with you to cover veterinary expenses, provide a replacement bird, or issue a full refund. We also recommend having an avian vet examine your new companion within 72 hours of arrival for your peace of mind.

Shipping timeframes depend on your location. For the West Coast (California, Oregon, Washington), expect 1-2 business days. Central states (Texas, Colorado, Illinois) typically receive deliveries within 2-3 business days. East Coast destinations (New York, Florida, Georgia) take 2-4 business days. For home delivery with our nanny service, add an additional 1-2 days to coordinate scheduling. We only ship Monday through Wednesday to ensure your parrot doesn't spend a weekend in transit, and we'll provide you with an estimated arrival date when we book the shipment.

Every parrot we ship comes with comprehensive documentation to ensure a smooth transition. This includes: a Veterinary Health Certificate (issued within 72 hours of shipping as required by airlines), a DNA Sexing Certificate confirming your bird's gender, a Hatch Certificate with birthdate and leg band information, and detailed Care Instructions specific to your parrot's species. For CITES-listed species, we provide all required permits and documentation proving legal captive breeding. You'll also receive a copy of our health guarantee, feeding schedule, and a starter supply of your parrot's current diet to maintain consistency during the transition.

Yes, your parrot's safety comes first! Airlines enforce strict temperature embargoes — we cannot ship when temperatures at origin, destination, or any connecting airport fall below 45°F (7°C) or exceed 85°F (29°C). During summer and winter months, we carefully monitor forecasts and may delay shipments to ensure safe travel conditions. We use climate-controlled carriers and heat/cool packs when appropriate, but extreme weather may require rescheduling. If a delay occurs, we'll notify you immediately and work together to find the next safe shipping window. Rest assured, we never compromise your bird's wellbeing for convenience.

We take every precaution to ensure your parrot travels safely and comfortably. Each bird is shipped in an airline-approved, ventilated carrier specifically sized for their species — spacious enough to move but secure enough to prevent injury. The carrier includes a comfortable perch, fresh fruits and vegetables for hydration and nutrition, and absorbent bedding. We attach 'LIVE ANIMAL' labels and handling instructions prominently on all sides. Whenever possible, we book direct flights to minimize travel time and stress. Before shipping, your parrot is given a calm environment to rest and is not fed heavy meals to prevent motion sickness. Our birds are accustomed to handling, which helps them stay relaxed throughout the journey.

    Parrot Care

A balanced diet includes high-quality pellets as the base, supplemented with fresh fruits, vegetables, and occasional seeds or nuts as treats. We'll provide specific dietary recommendations based on your parrot's species.

The general rule is the bigger, the better. As a minimum, your parrot should be able to fully extend its wings without touching the sides. We provide species-specific cage size recommendations with every purchase.

While parrots are social creatures, a single parrot can thrive with adequate human interaction. However, if you're away from home frequently, you might consider getting a companion. We can advise on compatible pairings.

Lifespan varies significantly by species. Smaller parrots like budgies live 10-15 years, while larger species like macaws and cockatoos can live 50-80+ years. This is a long-term commitment!
