Diet & Nutrition
High-quality pellets with plenty of nuts (macadamias, walnuts, almonds), fresh fruits and vegetables. Palm Cockatoos need extra healthy fats and hard nuts for beak health. Avoid avocado, chocolate and caffeine.
Housing & Environment
A large, sturdy cage at least 48"x36"x60" with heavy-gauge bars, plus an outdoor aviary or play stand. Provide plenty of wooden toys and branches to chew.
Social Needs
Very social and bonds closely with its family. Needs several hours of daily interaction and out-of-cage time to stay happy.
Health Considerations
Comes with complete health records. Schedule regular avian vet checkups every 6-12 months and keep a clean, dust-free environment.
Training Tips
Responds well to gentle, positive reinforcement. Start with step-up and target training; offer nuts as rewards.
